Quarry stopped at level 10. How do I restart?
I broke the quarry and replaced it and it didn't remember the original landmark outline, it made the default 9x9 outline. So I placed landmarks again in their original place and replaced the quarry again, nothing. Next, I broke the MFE that's powering it and it started back up. It was a glitch with the IC2 power source I guess.

How-To Drain a Quarry..
You initially WANT water in your quarry. This will turn lava, which the quarry will skip over into obsidian and stone, which the quarry can handle. To remove it, just fill in the source blocks. I did this by hand in a 64x64 quarry, and only spent about an hour swimming around with a few stacks of cobble blocking up the source blocks.

In Tekkit Lite this is achievable, the advantage of this approach being that you won't have to worry about fuel. Put the following modules in a stack. Make sure to connect the MFE's output to the LV transformer' input!

Quarry explosions!
Another solution, especially if you want the quarry wireless, is to use an Energy Tesseract. As long as you supply the input tesseract with MJ, the quarry will not explode. Tesseracts are superior because they can be placed next to the quarry block, and you won't have to continue moving your power source.

Can the Pump be used to drain quarries?
The real solution to drain a Quarry is filling the liquid in with sand or gravel, then just letting the quarry remove the solids. Should be possible to automate with a BC Filler below/inside the Quarry frame, just disable the Quarry as long as that one is in place.

You can plug any conduit to a Buildcraft quarry, but as the quarry takes a lot of power to operate, you may want to consider using at least a hardened conduit (and hardened energy cell to store/buffer the power). The quarry won't be much fun on leadstone level. I don't know if it will even start.
